On Tuesday, Samsung Electronics released new automotive chips for advanced automotive chip requirements, including a chip developed by LG Electronics and installed in Volkswagen’s infotainment system.
These chips are developed by Samsung's logic chip design business System LSI, and include a chip that supports 5G communication, which can download high-definition video content during transmission, and a power management chip for stable power supply. The third chip is an infotainment processor that can simultaneously control four displays and 12 cameras. It has been installed in Volkswagen's high-performance on-board computer, which was developed by LG Electronics' automotive parts business unit.
