A few days ago, according to the “Korea Times” news, after former President Zuma was imprisoned, a riot occurred in KwaZulu-Natal (KwaZulu-Natal Province) in South Africa. The factories of Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics were looted and burned.
According to the video circulated by the local media in South Africa, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics were set on fire at the local factories. In comparison, the losses of the LG Electronics factories were more serious. It is understood that the initial investment scale of the burnt-out LG Electronics factory was US$20 million, and the mass-produced liquid crystal display (LCD) TVs and monitors will be worth about US$50 million each year.
According to estimates, the factory suffered tens of millions of dollars in losses due to arson and looting. In the worst case, LG Electronics may withdraw from the factory or relocate. Fortunately, there were no casualties in these two factories.
