Tensile strength of rubber products

Jun 27, 2025

Tensile strength is the most basic mechanical property index of rubber raw materials, which characterizes the ultimate ability of rubber products to resist damage under external forces. It is an important basis for evaluating the quality of vulcanized rubber and one of the most important quality indicators of rubber products.

The strength of rubber raw materials is not only related to the planting area of rubber trees and the processing technology of rubber materials, but also greatly affected by the storage time of rubber coarse products. The impact of planting area on strength is already negligible in current processing technology, and can be mainly adjusted in the control section of the processing technology. Adjusting the coagulation concentration and curing time of latex can increase the strength of rubber coarse products, but it depends on the production product. When storing rubber, if the storage time is relatively long, the Mooney viscosity and strength of the rubber will increase (within a certain time range). The general increase in strength of raw rubber is around 1-3MP, and the tensile strength is one of the important bases for the production process and formula of manufacturers when producing products.
