The Volume Of Imports And Exports In The Third Quarter Hit A Record High

China's exports grew rapidly in the third quarter, with imports and exports hitting a record high, data released by the General Administration of Customs on Thursday showed.Experts pointed out that China's supply chain priority to other countries to recover, global demand inclined to China is the main reason for China's rapid export growth.In the context of the global "real" recovery, China's exports are expected to remain resilient in the fourth quarter.
China's imports and exports of goods totaled 23.12 trillion yuan in the first three quarters, up 0.7 percent from the same period last year, with imports and exports growing for the first time this year, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs.
In September alone, China's export growth reached 8.7%, the third consecutive month of high growth.China's export growth averaged 10.5 percent in the third quarter.
Imports and exports in the third quarter totaled 8.88 trillion yuan, up 7.5% year on year, said Li Kuiwen, spokesman for the General Administration of Customs and director of the Statistical analysis Department.Exports totaled 5 trillion yuan, up 10.2%.Imports totaled 3.88 trillion yuan, up 4.3%.In the first and second quarters of this year, China's import and export growth was -6.5 percent and -0.2 percent, respectively.In general, China's exports showed a sharp decline in the first quarter, the second quarter to stabilize, the third quarter rebound overall development trend.
In terms of export structure, in the first three quarters, electronic consumer products and epidemic prevention materials played a "decisive" role in boosting exports.Among consumer electronics products, exports of computers and integrated circuits rose 16.9 percent and 14.9 percent, respectively.The year-on-year growth rates of textile, yarn, fabric and products (including masks) and plastic products (including gloves) were 37.5% and 16.6% respectively.
Gao Shiwang, director of the industry development department of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and electrical Products, said that China's supply chain has prioritized the recovery of other countries, and the tilt of global demand toward China is the main reason for China's mechanical and electrical products export growth in recent months.
