South Korea's LG Electronics Production Line Reorganized

Mar 17, 2021

South Korea’s LG Electronics recently reorganized its overseas auto parts production lines to create a more competitive global electrical component industry chain. LG Electronics recently closed its independent subsidiary LG Electronics Kunshan Co., Ltd. established in Kunshan, and transferred the production of in-vehicle infotainment parts to its subsidiary in Haiphong, Vietnam. As a result, LG Electronics’ overseas production lines for electrical components were reorganized centered on two factories in Nanjing, which produces electric drivetrains, and Haiphong, Vietnam, which is responsible for in-vehicle infotainment systems. At the end of last year, LG Electronics announced an investment of US$300 million in the Nanjing battery plant to expand the annual production capacity of the Nanjing plant.
