Declining House Sales May Lead To Overcapacity Of Silicone For Construction

From January to April, the national real estate development investment was 3.3103 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.3%, a decrease of 4.4 percentage points from January to March. The floor space of houses newly started was 47.768 million square meters, a decrease of 18.4%, and the decrease narrowed by 8.8 percentage points. 

The sales area of commercial housing was 339.73 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 19.3%; the sales of commercial housing was 31866.3 billion yuan, a decrease of 18.6%. At the end of April, the floor space of commercial housing for sale was 522.55 million square meters, a decrease of 4.72 million square meters from the end of March. It indicates that the production capacity of construction silicone rubber will be further surplus, and related enterprises should make good choice of product direction.
