Why is it difficult to remove silicone products?

Sep 15, 2019

After the silicone product is molded and printed, it needs to be ripped and trimmed to be a complete finished product, but many operators often encounter a situation where some silicone products are very difficult to be detached and will be broken if they are accidentally broken. Or residual burrs, this will lead to extremely slow work efficiency, and the non-performing rate will also increase. Here is why the silicone products are difficult to be detached, and which factors make the silicone products difficult to detach.

First, the quality of the silica gel raw materials will cause the silicone products to be difficult to be detached. The poor quality of the silica gel raw materials has insufficient toughness and tear strength is also insufficient, and it is difficult to remove the edges during the process of detaching the edges.

Second, in the molding process, the product is relatively thick, so the burrs are actually relatively thick, and the increase in thickness certainly leads to the difficulty of detaching the edges.

Third, the vulcanization environment factors, the vulcanization temperature should be suitable, the problem of too high and too low will lead to difficult to remove the edge, and the vulcanization time also needs good control. If the vulcanization time is too long, the product will become brittle and the vulcanization time will be too short. Will cause the vulcanization process to have no effect, so the vulcanization must be controlled.
